    Hi folks,

After talking about it for a couple of years, Iain and I have had a look round and would like to suggest the following plan for May 2020. We have pencilled in two different centres as several people said they would want that if they were travelling up to Bonny Scotland! So please take a look at the details below. At the moment we are looking for numbers by November 30 so we can firm up a booking with the two sites. As they are both official sites you could come early or stay longer if you want. There’s loads to do from both sites. Happy to answer any questions.

Site 1:  Silvercraigs Caravan Site in Kirkcudbright. Rally from Tuesday May 12 leaving on Monday May 18. We have negotiated a rate of £15 a night including hook up if there are ten or more vans. The site has recently been taken over by the community and upgraded. Here’s a link to the website.

After a few days in South West Scotland we’d move on to Central Scotland

Site 2: The Wheel Caravan Park. Rally from Monday May 18 leaving on Saturday May 23.  This would be  £20 a night if twenty or more vans or £21 a night if less, including hook up. We have stayed at this site and believe it would work for our group  (see the ceilidh hut on the website!) It’s close to both The Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies. They also offer a shuttle to trains for trips into Edinburgh, Glasgow or Stirling. Here’s the link.

      Hi everyone,

Just a quick update on the two centre rally in Scotland next May. Dates have changed slightly.

      They are:

ARRIVE: Tuesday 12th May at Silvercraigs Caravan Site Kirkcudbright

      DEPART: Sunday 17th May

ARRIVE Sunday 17th May at The Wheel Falkirk

      DEPART Friday 22nd

Both are official sites and you can arrive earlier or leave later if you wish.

We have nine vans signed up at the moment and I’m sure this can be expanded till quite close to the dates. We are off to Spain and Portugal for three months. So not much more information till April but please add your names or leave comments and suggestions and we will take this on board.

Have a great Christmas and New Year

      Susan and Iain.

      Hi Iain

Wendy & I are very interested in your proposal, as we are hoping to do all, or some, of the North Coast 500 next year and may use this opportunity as the starting point and finishing line for our trip!  That’s assuming that we can wangle the time off work of course!!

      Many thanks, Dave & Wendy

      Well done.

We are extremely interested having lived in Scotland for five years. I am still not sure of our return date from Australia but I am sure we will make every effort to join you.

      Keep smiling
