Surprised that you have requested hook-up with your top of the range solar set up!!!
See you on Friday.

Hi, We’ll be with you on Friday, hook up please, still in sunny France!!!!
April 19, 2016 at 6:05 pm #2924
Hi Ian and Shellie,
For your benefit and the benefit of other members, there is no restriction on arrival and departure times.
If travelling from Prestatyn, leave the main road and enter the drive, signposted Four Winds Campsite and Abandoned Animal Association, straight up the drive past the animal sanctuary, next right through the open gate into the field.
There will be Orange Hobby signs at the entrance to and further along the drive.
We are in the second field, straight ahead after entering the gate.

We are attending our first rally tomorrow in Prestatyn , can you tell me what time we can access the site, do we have to arrive after a certain time? We are only 2 hrs drive away and the weather forecast is good for tomorrow and want to make the most of our 3 nights away?

Hi all , we said in January that we would be attending this event but unfortunately a change in work commitments now means that we can no longer come.
Hopefully we can be at the next one .
Have a good time ! , Tony and Gilly

So as to avoid confusion, the change of venue mentioned above only refers to our Saturday get-together meal.
There is no change to the site venue.
Here is a link to the chosen pub’s lunchtime menu.
Hopefully there is something on here to suit all tastes, but more importantly (Dave), working men’s portions.
I will print enough menus and bring them with me to circulate on site.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

The menu and venue (I must be a poet, and didn’t know it) may be about to change.
Following advice from Joan the wife of our Chair, I shall be making enquires with another venue, in the centre of Prestatyn very close to the shopping centre.
Being close to the shops, it should be possible to spend the whole day there, as long as the legs and wallets last out.
The reason for the change of venue is that I received an updated menu from that shown on the original venue’s website in the post and as well as the choice of main meals on offer being reduced to 4, the cost of the meals on offer had increased by 25%. I don’t think so.
So watch this space.

The menu sounds delicious. Kenn and I are easy about when and what we eat so will go with the flow but as there are already preferences then we will go with the Saturday lunchtime as well. Thanks Christine

Hi Ian and Shellie,
Yes that’s fine.

Jim n Doris Saturday lunch please 😀👍
March 8, 2016 at 1:18 pm #2848
Hi to all,
I have today made a provisional enquiry at this pub in Meliden regarding a get-together meal.
The menu of which is only available to us on the evening of Friday 22nd April and lunchtime Saturday 23rd April.
This ‘Early Bird’ menu is not available on a Saturday evening.
How many of us would opt for this early bird offer ? bearing in mind if it was the Friday evening, you would need to be on site by 6.00 p.m. and at the pub, about a mile away by 7.00 p.m.
In a more relaxed mode, perhaps the Saturday lunchtime would be preferred, arriving at the pub at say 1.00 p.m.
To start the ball rolling, Dave and I, would prefer the Saturday lunchtime.
Visit the Red Lion Inn & Restaurant to try our menu, which offers fantastic food at very reasonable prices. Our menus are changed regularly and we also offer fresh homemade daily specials that are displayed throughout the pub. Our staff are always on hand with a warm welcome and an extensive knowledge of every dish to help you decide and help with any questions you may have.
Early Bird Menu
3 Courses……….. £7.50 2 Courses………. £6.50
3 Courses………. £8.50 2 Courses………. £7.50
Served Monday to Friday Lunch Time – 12pm to 2pm Evening – 6pm to 7.30pm
A new addition to the ‘Red Lion’ is our early bird menu which is a selection of traditional homemade pub meals and the UK’s favourite dishes. The menu changes on a daily basis. To start we always have a good selection of starters ranging from tasty homemade soup, chicken liver pate, free range egg mayonnaise, an asian selection of samosa’s and spring rolls to bbq chicken wings and cheesy garlic bread.
For your selection of main meals we always have a traditional roast dinner option whether it be:
Roast beef served with Giant Yorkshire pudding
Roast Welsh lamb
Honey roasted ham
Roast pork and crackling.
Secondly we always have a fish course on offer for example Brains beer battered fish, mushy peas and chips, breaded fillet of plaice, scampi, fish cakes or smoked haddock.
Thirdly you can have our very popular homemade pie option which can vary from meat & potato pie, cottage pie, chicken and mushroom, steak and ale, pulled pork and spring onion and leek just to mention a few.
Finally we offer what we call a pub classic option with could be anything from chili con carne, a selection of different curries to a class ham, egg & chips.
To finish off your meal we offer a delicious selection of traditional sweets which include cheesecake of the day, syrup sponge and custard, banana split, fruit salad, various fruit crumbles, hot chocolate fudge cake and homemade gateau of the day plus many more.

Hi Andy, Denise, Jim and Doris,
Yes that is fine, looking forward to seeing everyone.

We may need an extension for the event shelter.

Hi, Denise and I can come , only down the road for us , but can only do 22/23/24 , This work thing.
February 29, 2016 at 5:30 pm #2830
Yes, that’s fine John.
Plenty of hookups available.
Called to view the site on Saturday whilst visiting a cousin south of Chester. The owners did not seem to be around so just had a quick look. Very flat, lush field with easy access. No doubt the grass will be cut before our arrival so that it gets into the vans easier.
The facilities look to be in a very new building.

forgot to mention we also will require hook up if possible
