This first week of our summer fortnight which incorporates our AGM is at:
The Royal Oak, Car Colston, Nottingham. NG13 8JEThis is a pub venue with a camping field behind. There are no shower facilities but the toilets which are accessed via the rear entrance to the pub are open from 7.30 a.m. daily and remain open during normal pub hours. There is a beer garden to the rear and tables to the front overlooking the village green.
Throughout our stay we have been granted the use of what they call their garden room and a skittle alley, on the strict condition that when we use either of these facilities, all drinks are to be purchased in the pub. No exceptions.
The camping cost is £9 per night. Our AGM on Saturday 29th June will take place in the garden room at 2.00 p.m. to be followed in the evening by a three course meal in the dining room at a cost of £20.00 per head to which the club will make a contribution for all those attending the AGM of £5.00 per head.
Selection of starters consisting of:
Chill & ginger chicken goujons with a Thai chilli sauce.
Scottish smoke salmon & prawns with a Marie rose sauce.
Pate of the day with toast and chutney.
Mains:
Locally reared roast beef (cooked medium to cater for all tastes) served with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, vegetables and gravy.
Vegetable Shepherds pie topped with mashed potatoes and goats cheese.
Deserts:
A selection of hot and cold on the night.
Including tea or filtered coffee and chocolate mints.
A pre ordered list of starters and mains with names of members would be required to save any confusion !Stored within the skittle alley is an industrial size barbeque which has been offered for our use throughout our stay. We may need to provide a gas bottle.
Initially this venue is limited to 20 vans (the dining room can accommodate 40 heads comfortably) but more pitches can be made available by prior notification.
The dining room is open for lunches and evening meals every day (lunch only on Sunday) if you choose. There is a regular bus service which can be hailed at the end of the drive to the pub.
