Just thought this may be of interest to a few Hobbyists

The Leamington Ukefest is now firmly established as one of the premier Ukulele Festivals in the UK attracting uke fanatics and music lovers from around the country. Last year more than 2000 people attended.

see website for detailed info :

    http://www.spa-strummers.co.uk/fest2015.html

The Festival is run as a family day out with performance stages, all day food & beverages, children’s play area and stalls for all. Entry is free with a large adjacent carpark – also free. If you need a break from the fun then Leamington town centre is only 10 minutes walk away.

In previous years we have had a few motor homes (we use 2 to create the main entrance) overnighting in the public car park for the Friday and Saturday nights. As it is a public car park we stay at own risk but have had no problems to date. You can view the facilities by looking at the Newbold Comyn Arms on google maps. You can of course stay at local CC/other sites in the area and drive in for the day.

We would recommend arriving Friday afternoon to get pitched and enjoy the pre-fest  entertainment in the evening.

please let us know if you would like to come & we would also be happy to answer any questions you may have.

    look forward to meeting up

    Kenn & Sue Dalley

      Hi there Sue and Kenn

Well, we have just bought 2 (very cheap) ukuleles. Haven’t the faintest clue what to do with them – it just seemed like a good idea when browsing Amazon with birthday gift vouchers to spend.

Maybe if we bring them to Ambleside you could give us some tips?

The resulting noise might shorten the rally though!!!

      Hi Ken & Sue,
Sounds a great venue and my niece would have been interested but we are going abroad after the Ambleside Rally. Just wanted to thank you both for thinking of us all and fingers crossed we get the opportunity next year.
      Best wishes

      Hi Kenn & Sue

The festival sounds great but unfortunately we’re unable to attend as we’ll be in Scandinavia then!

      Have a fab time.

      Hi Kenn and Sue,

Dave and I would like to come along to your Ukefest and would intend travelling there directly after leaving Ambleside on 1st July. We would plan to stop somewhere on the way South for a couple of days and arriving as you suggest on the afternoon of Friday 4th July.

Sounds great fun and completely different for us.

Looking forward to meeting you at Ambleside if not before.

      Christine
