Not having had a van with a garage before I’m unsure if the garage load limit (200kg in my case) includes the cycle carrier and any cycles? I’m thinking that it is more likely to affect rear axle loading but would appreciate any advice from members.

      Peter,
I see that next months Practical Motorhome magazine is planning an article on payloads, which might help, but I would echo what Peter R has said – load your van up and get it weighed,

      Hi Peter,
My understanding is that the load limit for the garage relates to what you put in the garage. Therefore it does not relate to the cycle rack and bikes. I would always recommend loading your van and going to the closest weigh bridge as it is very easy to exceed the rear axel loading as identified on your VIN plate in the engine compartment.
      Hope this helps.

      Regards
      Peter
