Do you know the difference between CAMPING AND GLAMPING ????

To experience both during our July meets join us to CAMP at beautiful Carsington Water which incorporates our AGM, full details of which are already in the Carsington Topic, then follow on to GLAMP the magnificent Capesthorne Hall a Jacobean style country house set in 100 acres of gardens, rural farmland, and lakes where we are free to walk around at leisure.

    Have a look at http://www.capesthorne.com

It is the home of the Bromley Davenports, built between 1719 and 1732.
Places of interest nearby include Jodrell Bank, Gawsworth Old Hall, Beaumanor Hall, Peover Hall and Redesmere Lake.
Glamping fees are normally £25.00 per night but I have secured a rally fee of £20.00 per night including electric hookup and superb facilities.

As you can imagine this is a very popular site so will you please state your intention to secure a pitch where a deposit of £20 will be required straight away or a.s.a.p.

Send deposit by cheque made payable to Independent Association of Hobbyists to :

Mrs C Lawson, 3 The Village Green, Sinderby, Thirsk. North Yorkshire. YO7 4HY

Will be great to see you there.

    Christine

      Hi Dave and Christine
We would hope to get to capesthorne for the weekend if we have returned from Bath and Jason’s graduation.
Locally you have the Cheshire town of Knutsford where you can park and walk into Tatton park for free enjoying the parkland walks and venture up to the house and cafe and shops ( entrance fee to house only if not NT members )
For NT members also locally is Little Moreton hall and Biddulph Grange both near to Congleton.
Also Alderley Edge and Wilmslow for a mooch about , Macclesfield also not far by car .
Joddrell bank again is not far and worth a visit if you like that sort of thing .
Some nice walks in and around capesthorne if you don’t wish to stray too far .
Hope you all enjoy the area .

      Hi Dave,
Please count Keith and I in for the nights 12th July to Sunday 15th inclusive, 4 nights in all. We have been to Gawsworth Old Hall but where is Beaumanor Hall? We are at the Peterborough show at the moment so will cross your palm with silver at Dover. Regards
      Margaret.

      Sounds great.
We would like to come from the 11th but unfortunately would need to leave on Sunday 15 July. 4 nights in total.
When are you leaving for Dover? If it might get to you quicker, rather than posting you the cheque (snail mail), should we bring it with us to Dover next Friday?
Let us know which you prefer.
      Many thanks
      Jean and Mike
